Leptothorax acervorum - colony

A slightly larger, faster and more active species than Temnothorax crassispinus. It inhabits cavities in dead wood with higher humidity. It is partly polygynous, where, especially after swarming, colony tolerates the arrival of new queens in the nest, in which they survive hibernation, but in the new season they are expelled, especially in small colonies, eliminated in captivity.

For sale is a colony with a queen and about 20-50 workers.
